Food and Health Course Annual Report (2019)

The Food and Health Course organized “Food for Health Seminar 2019” at Hunan Agricultural University, Changsha, China during September 16 -25, 2019.

The participants included four people (one teacher and three students) from Kagoshima University, Japan, four people (one teacher and three students) from North Dakota State University, USA, and 30 people (five teachers and 25 students) from Hunan Agricultural University, China.

The program involved scientific seminar, food factory tour and culture communication (see separated file for the detail).

In the scientific seminar, seven teachers gave seven lectures for students, and 12 students represented their research plans and partial results.

In food factory tour, the participants visited Yufeng and Huawen Food Company, Tangrenshen Feed Company, Guzhang Tea Farm, and the campus and laboratories of Hunan Agricultural University. Additionally, the teachers and students from three universities had deep communication not only in science but also in culture as well as humanities. The students gave very high evaluation for this program in their reports.

In summary, “Program of Food for Health Seminar 2019” stimulated the multipolar exchange for students and teachers in this field from three universities through these actions. Finally, we thank the local organizers, professors and students from Hunan Agricultural University, for their enthusiasm supports and meticulous arrangements.
